Team: You will be part of a global and multicultural team covering the African continent, reporting to the Managing Director based in Barcelona.

: You will shape and guide the overall research and publications agenda on consumer and retail related topics for Sagaci Research. Leveraging Sagaci Research datasets and local knowledge to produce high-quality and insightful reports in a timely and orderly manner.


  • Define the publications agenda on consumer and retail related topics and prepare a list of publications to be produced by the Analyst team on a annual basis
  • Display strong sector expertise by developing and pushing ideas in the publications
  • Take direct responsibility to review and guarantee analysis accuracy before publication
  • Organize and lead the team of Analysts to ensure timely delivery of insightful reports
  • Coach and mentor the team of Analyst and act as a real team leader
  • Assure that the analytical guidelines, procedures and policies established for publications are adhered to by the analysts staff
  • Share knowledge and participate in internal Sagaci Research initiatives to improve the overall level of expertise within the firm (through sharing analytical expertise, coaching to more junior staff, project work,...)
  • Develop effective relationships with relevant clients and key industry stakeholders
  • Prepare a variety of marketing materials to support the publications (brochures, press releases,...) to allow dissemination and awareness building
  • Support business growth as a spokesperson on consumer and retail topics
  • Create awareness among potential clients on consumer and retail publications and ensure publications are efficiently promoted to Sagaci Research clients and prospects


  • Degree in business, finance or related field require
  • 6-10 years of significant experience in a research or strategic analysis field
  • Good knowledge of the consumer and retail industries
  • Strong analytical capability – either strong credit analysis background or equity research background
  • Personal skills: Team player, good time management and strong communication skills
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills in English
  • Leadership capabilities and ability to coach and mentor others
  • Strong work ethic, self-starter, integrity and honesty
  • Good interpersonal communication skills
  • English language is a must and French language is a strong addition
