The Role

The Operations Manager will lead our field data collection activities across the African continent. The Operations Manager will be based in Barcelona with a team of Operations Executives supporting its work, this is the central operations team. He will report to our Global Operations Director.

The central operations team is responsible for the recruitment, training, follow up and coordination of the data collection teams across Africa (the local teams).

Each local team works under the direct supervision of a field manager. Your job is to coordinate the work of the central operations team and achieve the data collection objectives on time and with accuracy, agreed with other departments of the company.

What will you be doing?

  • Management and coaching of the Operations Executives
  • Defining the process for Operations management within the firm
  • Selection and recruitment of field managers across the African continent
  • Support field managers to help them build-up local teams of field agents
  • Brief field managers on project operations in order to prepare launch
  • Train field managers on core research methodologies and internal processes
  • Follow-up on project execution and ensure timelines are met
  • Maintain global field planning and consolidate needs across countries
  • Review and approve field budgets
