Working in a small team tackling multiple finance topics for a multinational startup with operations in 20 countries. Your responsibilities as a finance controller will include the following:

  • Controlling project costs across multiple geographies
  • Launching, validating and controlling project budgets and office budgets with our teams
  • Setting up controlling mechanisms, tools and procedures to increase efficiency and simplify operations
  • Dealing with accounting issues in many different jurisdictions throughout Africa
  • Controlling the accounts payable / receivable, managing the invoices issuing and following up with clients
  • Setting up payment procedures and schedules

The position is based in Barcelona and will potentially require trips to African countries.

Successful candidates will have :

  • A Proactive, Energetic and Can Do attitude,
  • An Excellent command of Excel,
  • A Good understanding of finance principles and procedures,
  • Business-oriented thinking, has good understanding of business principles,
  • Knowledge of accounting,
  • 1 to 2 years Experience in a Controlling / Admin Finance function
  • Fluency in English is a must, knowledge of French and Portuguese is useful
